What makes MyPremierMD telemedicine different
- You see YOUR doctor — not a random physician you've never met. The same providers who know your health history.
- Real appointments, not rushed consultations — 30–60 minutes so you actually have time to talk through what's going on.
- Same-day availability — call by 11 AM and we'll usually get you in the same day, often within hours.
- Everything in one place — access lab results, message your doctor, and book follow-ups through our patient portal.
- Covered by insurance — billed just like in-person visits, covered by almost all plans including Medicaid.

Does insurance cover telemedicine visits?
Yes. Almost all insurance plans now cover telemedicine visits exactly the same as in-person visits — same copay, same deductible, same coverage. This includes commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid.
Can I see my regular doctor via telemedicine?
Absolutely. When you book a telemedicine appointment, you see your regular MyPremierMD provider — not a random doctor you've never met. Your doctor already knows your health history, medications, and concerns.
Do I need to download a special app?
No. Our telemedicine platform works right in your web browser — no apps to download, no accounts to create. We text and email you a secure video link before your appointment.
Can I get prescriptions through a virtual visit?
Yes. Your doctor can prescribe medications electronically during your virtual visit, sent straight to your pharmacy. The only exceptions are certain controlled substances that require in-person evaluation by law.
Is telemedicine as good as an in-person visit?
For many health concerns, yes. Mental health visits, medication management, chronic disease follow-ups, and minor acute illnesses can all be handled effectively over video, with the same 30–60 minute appointment length. The only limitation is we can't do hands-on physical exams or procedures.
Can I do my first visit as a new patient by telemedicine?
Yes, for many concerns. New patients can start with a telemedicine visit for things like mental health, medication management, and chronic disease. A complete new-patient physical or anything needing a hands-on exam or labs will need an in-person visit — often we do the intake by video first and bring you in only for the parts that require it.
