Already Booked a Virtual Visit?

Here's exactly what to expect.

No apps, no logins, no guesswork — just a secure video link that connects you to your MyPremierMD provider. Here's the whole process, start to finish.

A patient on a video telehealth call from home

6 steps to your telemedicine visit

  1. Book your telemedicine appointment

Call (908) 450-7002 or register online and let us know you'd like a virtual visit. Same-day telemedicine slots are usually available.

  2. We'll text your link right at your appointment time

At your exact scheduled time, we'll text you (and usually email) a one-tap video link to join — there's no separate link sent in advance, and no account or app download required.

  3. Log in early if you'd like

Our virtual visit room is always at the same address, premiermd.doxy.me. Go there a few minutes before your appointment to test your camera and microphone and wait in our secure waiting room until we're ready for you.

  4. Enter the virtual waiting room

Type your name and click Join. You'll wait briefly in a secure, HIPAA-compliant virtual waiting room until your provider admits you.

  5. Meet with your provider

Once admitted, talk with your provider just as you would in person. They can see and hear you, review your chart, and share your treatment plan on screen.

  6. Wrap up and next steps

Before you disconnect, your provider will summarize the plan, send any prescriptions electronically to your pharmacy, and schedule a follow-up if needed.

What you'll need

A device with a camera

Any smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and microphone works — no special equipment needed.

A stable connection

Wi-Fi or cellular data both work fine. If your connection is weak, moving closer to your router can help.

An up-to-date browser

Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge — all recent versions work. There's nothing to install.

Telemedicine guide questions

Do I need to download an app for my telemedicine visit?

No. Our platform works right in your web browser on a smartphone, tablet, or computer — there's nothing to download and no account to create. Just click the link we send you at your appointment time.

What if my video or audio doesn't connect?

First, check that your browser has permission to use your camera and microphone (most browsers will prompt you the first time). If you're still having trouble, refresh the page and rejoin using the same link, or call us at (908) 450-7002 and we can switch you to an audio-only call so your visit isn't delayed.

How early should I log in?

We text (and usually email) your one-tap video link right at your scheduled appointment time, so there's no early link to click. If you'd like to log in a few minutes early anyway, our virtual visit room is always at the same address, premiermd.doxy.me — go there anytime to test your camera and microphone and wait in our secure waiting room until your provider joins.

Can I complete my paperwork before the visit?

Yes — and we recommend it. New patients should complete registration in advance at mypremiermd.com/new-patient; existing patients can update their information through the patient portal so your visit time is spent with your provider, not paperwork.

What should I have ready for my telemedicine visit?

Have your current medication list, a list of questions or concerns, and (if relevant) a way to show your provider anything they should see, like a rash or an injury site. A quiet, well-lit spot to sit also helps.
