This gives you time to complete any remaining paperwork, get comfortable in our waiting area, and meet our friendly front desk team. We see almost all our patients within 10 minutes of their appointment time.

During Your Appointment (Plan for 60 Minutes)

We take our time with new patients. Here's how your first visit typically flows:

Check-In
(5 minutes)

Our front desk team will greet you, verify your insurance, and collect your copay if applicable. They'll answer any questions about billing or scheduling.

Vital Signs
(5-10 minutes)

A medical assistant will record your blood pressure, temperature, weight and height, and heart rate. You'll also have a chance to update your medical history and current medications if you haven't done so online.

Next Steps Discussion
(10 minutes)

Before you leave, we'll discuss your diagnosis or assessment, treatment recommendations, any tests or labs needed (many can be done on-site), follow-up appointment scheduling, prescription orders (sent electronically to your pharmacy), and any lifestyle changes or at-home care instructions.

Plan for about 60 minutes total. We schedule longer appointments for new patients because we want to get to know you and your health history thoroughly.

It depends on your health needs and when you last had labs done. If labs are needed, many can be drawn on-site at the time of your visit. We'll discuss what's necessary during your appointment.

Yes! When you book your appointment, let us know if you'd like to see Dr. Boguslavsky or a specific provider. We'll do our best to accommodate your preference.

Bring your current medication bottles or a list of what you're taking. We can often send refill prescriptions to your pharmacy on the same day, though some medications may require a trial period with our practice first.

Yes, with your permission. We'll request your medical records from previous providers to ensure we have your complete health history. This usually takes 1-2 weeks, so please sign the release form.

We offer same-day appointments for acute illnesses. When you call, let us know you're not feeling well and need to be seen urgently. We'll get you in within 24-48 hours, often the same day.

Absolutely! We welcome family members to accompany you, especially if they help with your healthcare decisions. Just let us know at check-in so we can accommodate everyone in the exam room.
